About Us

Gardiner Insurance began operations in 1928 and Insurance Associates, founded by Bruce Allen, was formed in 1949. These Property & Casualty and Life Insurance agencies merged in 1990 when Andy Gardiner and Stuart Allen established Gardiner Allen Insurance Associates with offices in Northwest Columbus.

As the company grew, another partnership was formed in 1996 with the addition of the Buddy Pryor and Harold Guitner Agency, which had been operating in Bexley since 1968 and was headed by Paul Schoonover.

Over the next 10 years, other insurance agents throughout central Ohio joined our company and expanded our reach in the community.

The latest merger in 2006 joined us with Dick DeRoberts and Company which was established in Grandview in 1953 and operated by Jim DeRoberts and Bill Shimp. Gardiner Allen DeRoberts Insurance now has over 35 associates working in our new headquarters on Goodale Boulevard in Grandview.
